Las Cruces, New Mexico

Ramblin’

Ramblin’

We are on the road again, boondocking in the desert outside of Las Cruces, New Mexico! A couple of weeks ago we got a call from Katy, who told us that Sam and Nick had booked tickets to fly to see her over Thanksgiving; she and Brandon are currently living in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Faster than you can say “parental self-invitation”, we’re on our way! We may be a tad early at this point, but hey there’s a whole country in the middle and lots to see and do, so why not ramble? We have lots of maybe-dots on the map to visit, and we will see what happens with the weather along the way. We plan to stay south, to avoid any freezer-type temps there and back. But we have no reservations along the way.* Making this up as we go along.

Adventure there and back, and family Thanksgiving in the middle. Now that’s a recipe for fun!

*well there may be a reservation or two here and there but more on that later.

Adventure there and back, and family Thanksgiving in the middle.
Now: the Southlands
Morning—and southward
Next stop: Twain country
South along the river
One more night in town
And then the plan went sideways
Now turn up the music
Keep driving south
