On the Road Again
Pretty sure I’ve used that title before. Oh well, it works.

Pretty sure I’ve used that title before. Oh well, it works. We are in the mountains of Northeastern Arizona, dispersed camping in the forest East of Payson. We will be taking two weeks to wind our way up to MN, stopping in Salt Lake City to see Sam, and say hey to my Dino-buddies in the Black Hills.
The big rig—Beauty and The Beast—is back! Feels like a mansion compared to the van! We decided to go big but almost instantly question driving across the country getting 9 miles per gallon with gas at $5. Watch those dollars fly out the window, yikes.

We spent a full month in drydock, thanks to all sorts of repairs and parts delays. The van is still minus its solar panels, service for RVs is maddening. So we had all sorts of elaborate travel plans that are now condensed down to a measly two weeks. We will make the best of it!
Heading East tomorrow into New Mexico, and going to visit some cool monuments. Then north through Colorado with a stop at Four Corners. We have heard it is a nothing burger but we’ve never been, and we’ll be in the neighborhood.

This is where we’re supposed to be!
So it’s fun to be posting pics and stories from the road again. This is where we’re supposed to be!*
*except at this altitude it’s a bit chilly. Might get down close to 50 tonight. This would be the first time in months that we have put on a flannel shirt. Brutal.
