Been a bit since we posted, that’s because there’s not much going on. We camped in Tucson, then back to BaseCamp Peoria for some R&R.

Van is in the shop getting warranty replacement solar panels, took the truck in for an oil change and discovered a bunch of nasty repairs that we really have to do. Waiting on a part. When your vehicle is your house, it’s important to stay on top of any issues.

So that, seeing friends, some cleaning, paperwork, dentist visits yay, and generally enjoying the AZ weather. BaseCamp is a pleasant place to be for a while.

We guess we will hit the road with no particular place to go as soon as our rigs are repaired. We think we are taking the bigger rig northward, watching piles of cash fly out the window as we get 9 MPG with the Beast. The van will go into storage here in AZ.

It is about to start heating up into the 100s starting tomorrow, so it is definitely time to flee to the north . . . We will be watching the weather as we go and adjusting accordingly. May is a tricky travel month, you never know what is going to happen.

Summer plans have us in MN from early June until mid-August. Just a hair over two months. The social calendar is filling up rapidly already thanks to Paula’s outreach. As you all know by now, she is the one who makes things happen!
