Cerritos Beach, Baja California Sur

Friends and Family

A highly successful program of not doing much.
A highly successful program of not doing much.

We meet a lot of fun and interesting folks on the road, but nothing beats hanging out with family and good friends. We just spent a few days on Cerritos Beach with our son Sam and good friends the Woodwards. It just worked out to coordinate a meetup on Baja at the same time! We were highly intentional about not doing much, and we succeeded!

We gave in for a few days, parked the van and rented a little bungalow! People often think that we must long for “a real bed” but we really sleep well in our mobile rigs. We just did this so we could be in proximity to everyone, and it worked out great.

Many laughs, stories, much beach-sitting, some live music, and of course tasty food and drink. A few whale sightings, one hefty scorpion (squished promptly) and a tired scruffy beach dog Axel.

They have all flown away now and we are starting to amble North. We are going to take our time of course, a couple of things to do along the way before we settle in Arizona for a bit to do some drydock repairs and such. More Baja to come!

We were highly intentional about not doing much, and we succeeded!
Now: the Southlands
Morning—and southward
Next stop: Twain country
South along the river
One more night in town
And then the plan went sideways
Now turn up the music
Keep driving south
